Chalk Talk

Lynne Kennedy Mullen, Principal

Dear Families,

What a great time we had on Sunday at Pancakes with Santa! Thank you to the parents who worked so hard to make this event super special.

Phase One of our “Yes, We Can!” recycling project ends on Thursday, December 16th. We will announce the winning class on Friday and they will receive a special treat. We have made over $300 for our Music program, and Mr. Silva has purchased electric guitars, speakers, hand shakers and other instruments for our kids. Phase Two will pick up when we return, so save those bottles and cans over the holidays! Mr. Silva also presented me with a $500 donation for our Music program from his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Len Silva, in honor of his upcoming birthday!

A gift-giving thought: A donation to our Tuition Assistance Fund would be a great way to say “Thank you” to a special teacher this year! Our Christmas program takes place next Thursday night. Our Eighth Grade will be presenting the story of Christ’s birth, and every class will be singing at least one song during this program. See you there!

Evacuation Drill

Friday, December 17th is our annual evacuation drill. We will begin our drill with a “Duck and Cover” practice in the classrooms at 10:35. Students will then evacuate the classrooms and follow all regular evacuation procedures. We will all line up on the primary campus. Students may be picked up as early as 11:00 am. All students must be picked up by 12:00 pm. A child may only be picked up by of the people listed on his/her emergency form. There will be NO AFTERNOON SLED. Please send a note if a person that is not on your child’s emergency form will need to pick her/him up on December 17th.

NO students will be released without authorization, and every adult must have a picture ID with them to be presented for verification.
